Brian Greisman heads into his second season as Assistant Coach for the Montana State University Billings baseball team.
In his first year as the Yellowjackets' pitching coach, Greisman played a pivotal role in guiding MSUB to one of the most historic seasons in program history during the 2024–25 campaign. The team tied its single-season record with 33 wins and earned just the second NCAA West Region Tournament berth in school history—where they notched their first-ever NCAA Tournament victory with a 15–7 win over No. 4 Point Loma. Under Greisman's leadership, the pitching staff recorded a 5.21 ERA, marking the third-best season ERA in school history and ranking 58th nationally.
The 2025 season also saw Greisman coach 11 players to All-GNAC honors and four to All-West Region recognition, including four pitchers who received All-GNAC and two pitchers who earned All-West Region accolades. Standouts included Sam Coxen, a Second Team All-GNAC honoree and was named GNAC Freshman of the Year; Hayden Mullins, a First Team All-GNAC and NCBWA/CCA Second Team All-West Region honoree; Jackson Betancourt, who earned Second Team All-GNAC, ABCA West Region All-Defensive Team honors, and set the GNAC record for career starts; and Brennen Chappell, a GNAC Championships All-Tournament Team and an All-GNAC Honorable Mention selection.
In addition to his collegiate success, Greisman joined the Billings Mustangs coaching staff for the summer of 2025, where he is contributing to player development at the professional level. He is working alongside senior standout Bodee Wright, a First Team All-GNAC selection now pitching and playing infield for the Mustangs.
Greisman spent the 2023-24 season as the Pitching Coach at Southwestern Assemblies of God University now known as Nelson University in Waxahachie, TX. During that season, his pitching staff led the conference in strikeouts and three of his pitchers signed professional contracts following the season.
Greisman spent the 2023 summer as the Pitching Coach for the Wareham Gatemen in the prestigious Cape Cod League. Since then, 11 of his pitchers were selected during the 2023 & 2024 MLB Draft.
Greisman comes with a range of coaching experience. In the summer of 2022, before joining Golloway’s staff, he spent time as the Head Coach of the Newark Pilots of the New York Perfect Game Collegiate League. In his time there, his team led the league in batting average. Before his time at ECU, he was the Pitching Coach at Cleveland Community College in Shelby, NC. All of his pitchers there have signed onto NCAA programs advancing their careers. He also served as the Head Coach of the S. Carolina Bulls of the Southern Shores Collegiate Baseball League in the summer of 2021.
Prior to his time at Cleveland Community College, Greisman was the Head Coach at Turner High School for a year. From his one season there he helped sign 3 players to play at the collegiate level. He was also the owner and Head Coach of the Ardmore Athletes, a summer showcase 19U team. From that summer 5 players signed to play baseball at the collegiate level. He began his passion for coaching when he created his own Pitching & Hitting academy in Ardmore, OK, from 2017-2020, where he trained over hundreds of players from the youth level to the professional level.
His High School baseball playing days were spent at Plainview High School. His team made it to State each of his last 2 years, just falling short of the State Championship his Senior year. Greisman was Conference Pitcher of the year and All-Area.
Greisman played collegiate baseball at Murray State College for 2 years. Where he is now in the Athletic Hall of Fame there with his 2013 National Championship Winning team. He then went on to play at Wichita State University for 2 years.
He also participated in summer league baseball. He spent a summer in the prestigious West Coast League with the Walla Walla Sweets, earning all-star honors there. Also, earning all-star honors in the Kansas Collegiate Baseball League.
He continued his playing career playing Professional Baseball for the Plattsburgh Thunderbirds of the Empire Professional Baseball League. In the 2019 season, him and his team claimed the League Championship.
The Ardmore, Oklahoma native earned an associate’s degree from Murray State College in May 2014, a bachelor’s degree in communication from Wichita State in December 2017, and a Master’s degree in Sports Management in April 2022 from the University of Southern Indiana. He got married to his wife, Elizabeth, in 2020.
