2022: Made 10 appearances out of the bullpen as a junior…totaled 15 1/3 innings while striking out 13 and walking six…held a 5.28 ERA…threw a season-high 3 1/3 innings on two occasions…threw a season-high 67 pitches on April 22 against Saint Martin’s…had a season-high three strikeouts on two occasions…earned two wins on the year…allowed zero runs in 5 of 10 appearances.

2021: Appeared in nine games and made five starts in third season in the program…posted a 15.28 ERA…logged 25 1/3 innings pitched with 24 strikeouts…had a season-high seven strikeouts on April 23 at Saint Martin’s…gave up a season-low zero earned runs on March 19 against Saint Martin’s.

2020: Redshirted.

2019: Honorable mention all-GNAC as a true freshman…made 11 appearances as the team’s closer, carrying a 2.50 ERA…led the team and ranked second in the GNAC with six saves…had 20 strikeouts against just six walks in 18 innings pitched…held the opposition to a team-low .219 batting average…had a team-best WHIP of 1.11…threw a season-high 6 2/3 innings on March 9 at NNU…had a season-high seven strikeouts on March 9…named GNAC Pitcher of the Week and NCBWA West Region Pitcher of the Week on March 18…first pitcher in MSUB history and fourth in GNAC history to record three saves in a weekend series…recorded a save in four straight appearances from March 16-23…helped the ‘Jackets claim their fourth regular-season title in the last five years and tie the school record with 33 wins…helped the team win its first-ever GNAC tournament title and claim its first-ever berth into an NCAA D2 West Region Championship tournament.

Billings Senior High School: Competed for the Billings Royals American Legion team…won four letters in baseball and two in basketball for the Billings Senior Broncs…highlights on the baseball diamond include a complete-game shutout against the Billings Cardinals during his freshman season…in basketball, the 6-foot-6 forward was named the 2016-17 Billings Senior Defensive Player of the Year, after leading the state with 2.2 blocked shots per game.
 
Coach Waddoups on Zimmer: "Brooks is a local Billings arm that was dominate his freshman year.  We look forward to having his big frame back on the mound competing. He has the ability to close and be lights out."

Zimmer on choosing MSUB: "I chose MSUB because I think it is a place I can get better both on the field and in the classroom. I also really enjoy the coaches and the direction the program is heading."
