Feature story: Muller MSUB's career ace on the mound

2015: First-team all-GNAC selection after tying for second-most wins in the conference with six…finished second in the GNAC in strikeouts with 79 and in fourth in innings pitched with 79…logged a 5.70 ERA and surrendered just two home runs…named GNAC Pitcher of the Week after tossing a 3-hit complete game at Saint Martin’s in which he did not allow an earned run…set MSUB single season record for strikeouts and strikeouts per nine innings…MSUB career leader in wins (20), innings (278.1), strikeouts (241), 10-strikeout games (4) and games started (42)…set GNAC career record for games started (42)…Chi Alpha Sigma National Honor Society selection…academic all-conference.

2014: Earned honorable mention all-conference...made 11 appearances for the Yellowjackets making eight starts…pitched 49.0 innings with 36 strikeouts…recorded a 3-3 win/loss record…recorded a 5.33 ERA…academic all-conference honors.
 
2013: Earned first team all-GNAC honors...turned in a terrific sophomore campaign on the mound making 12 appearances with 12 starts, recording a 6-4 record…pitched three complete games, registering 80.1 innings pitched, 64 strikeouts, a 3.47 ERA and a .230 opposing batting average…in the GNAC ranked No. 1 in opposing batting average, No. 3 in innings pitched and ERA, No. 4 in strikeouts and wins, and No. 6 in starts…led the team in opposing batting average, wins, innings pitched, starts, and strikeouts.

2012: Earned all-GNAC honorable mention honors...made 10 appearances on the mound, recording 10 total starts while pitching 61.1 innings…had an overall record of 5-3 with an earned run average of 4.84…tenth-best overall pitcher in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference…tied for sixth in the GNAC for total wins and strikeouts, and ranked 10th in opposing batting average…registered a team-high 53 strikeouts, an opposing batting average of .282, and one combined shutout…also ranked first on the team in wins and win-loss percentage, second in hits allowed, runs allowed, opposing batting average, earned run average and innings pitched…ranked second in games started, earned run average and opposing batting average.

Billings West High School: Lettered one season for the Golden Bears' basketball team...was a four-year letterwinner for the Billings Scarlets American Legion baseball team...en route to leading the Scarlets to a 2011 State Championship, won Most Valuable Player honors in the state tournament...helped the Scarlets to back-to-back state titles in 2008 and 2009...during senior year with the Scarlets at time of commitment was hitting .427 with 50 hits, including eight doubles, seven triples, four home runs, 47 RBIs and 12 stolen bases...had a pitching record of 6-2 with a  1.82 ERA in 56 innings...allowed 12 earned runs with 79 strikeouts and a 1.16 WHIP and a .207 opponents’ batting average.
