2022: Pitched in 13 games out of the bullpen in debut season with the ‘Jackets…logged 25 innings and carried a 6.12 ERA…struck out 14 hitters…threw a season-high 3 2/3 innings on April 2 at Central Washington…had five multi-strikeout performances…threw a season-high 63 pitches in 3 1/3 innings of work at Northwest Nazarene on April 30…converted all four defensive chances.

Sierra College: Appeared in 12 games on the mound during two-year stint from 2020-21…logged 16 2/3 innings pitched…struck out 13 batters…threw a career-high 2 2/3 innings on April 28, 2021 against Santa Rosa.
 
Del Oro High School: Four-year participant in baseball…first-team all-conference selection…played both pitcher and second base under head coach Matt French.
 
Coach Waddoups on Rainey: “Blake Rainey joins us with good grades, a fabulous work ethic, and desire to compete. We look for him to impact our pitching staff with his command of the zone and ability to change speeds in the bottom. He will be one of the top athletes on our team and has good feel for the game. We are excited for what he will add to our culture and community.”

I also chose MSUB because the campus is beautiful and it seems like a great environment to be in. This baseball program seems awesome and has a great field to play on. I chose this program because I feel as if I can make a positive impact with our guys and help us win a ton of games.”
