2022: Earned 22 starts behind the plate as a junior…batted .224 with four home runs and 12 RBIs…scored 17 runs…had four doubles…hit a walk-off home run on May 5 in MSUB’s 12-11, extra-inning win over Central Washington…posted a .983 fielding percentage in 179 chances behind the plate…caught 4 of 19 runners attempting to steal…had a season-high three hits on March 19 at Saint Martin’s…scored a season-high three runs on May 5 against Central Washington…had a season-high three RBIs on Feb. 5 against CSU Los Angeles…had a season-high 11 putouts on Feb. 27 against Colorado Christian…had a season-high five assists on April 8 against Western Oregon.

2021: Appeared in eight games and made one start in first collegiate season on the field…hit first-career home run – a grand slam – on April 23 at Saint Martin’s…went 1-for-8 on the season (.125)…had five RBIs…scored three runs…played perfect defense in 11 chances behind the plate.

2020: Did not compete.

2018: Redshirted.

Fruitland High School: Competed in baseball and basketball for the Grizzlies…four-time 3a state champion in baseball, and was a first-team all-SRV catcher in 2016…was also picked to the Idaho Top-40 team after his stellar junior season…in 2016 hit .380 with 21 RBIs, 27 runs scored, and six stolen bases…struck out just eight times in 79 at-bats, while holding an on-base percentage of .473 and a slugging percentage of .608…played as a guard on the basketball team for two years as well.

Coach Waddoups on Wagenmann: "AJ is a hardworking quality teammate that makes those around him better by how he pushes them.  He catchers daily and grinds it our making our pitching staff better. He will continue to serve and make us better as a group with his outstanding presence in the dugout."

Wagenmann on choosing MSUB: "I knew right away that MSUB was the school for me. The family atmosphere, coaching staff, and facilities sold me. Coach Sutton and his staff are outstanding coaches and I'm excited to be pushed in the classroom and on the baseball field."
