Dear Fellow Yellowjacket Alumni:
The leadership and commitment of our EMC and MSUB athletes is not only something to be admired but something to be honored. If you recall the trophy case as you enter Alterowitz Gym, you'll remember that there isn't much space to appropriately honor the achievements and rich history of 85 years of Yellowjacket Athletics.
It's time to remedy this.
Your Alumni Association is working in conjunction with the MSUB Athletics Department to completely renovate and expand the display area. With the help of a Billings cabinet maker, we plan to significantly increase the amount of space in which we can honor all Yellowjacket teams, athletes, and coaches. The bronze busts of your beloved coaches Bjorgum, Harkins, Christiansen and Lee will be featured prominently in the new display as well.
I know how important your time at EMC/MSUB was, and I hope you'll consider helping with this endeavor. Will you consider a gift of $1000, $500, or $250 to ensure that the achievements of our former athletes are not forgotten? Donors of $1,000 or more will be recognized as Gold Sponsors in the gallery and donors of $500-$999 will be recognized as Blue Sponsors. Please use the pledge card at the bottom of this letter as your guide for making your donation.
Also, when the project is completed, do you have any memorabilia you would like to see displayed? Coach Lee gave me the 1965 EMC Football Conference Trophy, which I will be proud to place in the new trophy gallery.
