Central Wyoming College: Was a member of the basketball squad for one season where he played in all 30 games and was the third leading scorer on the team, averaging 11.8 points per game ... Was also the second leading rebounder on the team, pulling down 5.3 boards per contest ... Shot 48 percent and was a 78 percent free throw shooter on the year ... Dished out 61 assists, which was good for second on the team behind his brother, and he led the team in steals with 48.
Jordan High School: Richards was a four-year letterwinner in both golf and basketball ... He was named to both the All-State golf and basketball teams during the 2007-08 year ... Richards finished his prep career with a 73 stroke average ... He posted a low tournament round of 65 and was a two-time Utah Junior State Amateur Champ ... Most recently, he was the bountiful Amateur Champ with a low round of 69 in 2009.
