Colstrip High School: Brown was a four-time letter winner in cross country and earned three letters in track and field ... She was a contributing member of the 2009 State Cross Country Champions while her 2010 squad placed second in the state and her 2008 team finished second ... She was named the cross country team's Most Improved Team Member for the 2007-08 season and was the 2008 Most Valuable Distance Runner for the track and field squad while earning the 2009 and 2011 Coach Davenport Guts and Determination Award in cross country ... Brown was also strong in the classroom as she earned Academic All-State hours seven times, four times for cross country and three in track and was the 2011 Colstrip Scholar Athlete of the Year ... She was also elected the president of the National Honor Society.
