Outdoor Track & Field: Competed in seven outdoor track and field meets, including the GNAC Outdoor Championships…focused on the discus and the hammer throws…placed eighth in the hammer throw at GNACs with a 46.82m (153-7)…threw a season-best 36.87m (120-11) in the discus at the Bengal Invitational on April 30…moved up to fourth all-time at MSUB in the hammer throw with a 47.77m (156-9) toss at the Trudnowski Open on April 21…placed ninth in the hammer throw with a 45.46m (149-2) at the Bauer Open on April 9…took third place in the hammer throw and 10th in the shot put at the Yellowjackets/Battlin’ Bears Icebreaker Open on March 19.
Indoor Track & Field: Competed in three regular-season track and field meets, plus the GNAC Indoor Championships…placed eighth in the weight throw and 14th in the shot put at GNACs…moved up to sixth on MSUB’s all-time top 10 rankings in the weight throw with a 15.10m (49-6.5) at the Mountain State Games on Feb. 11-12…threw a collegiate personal best to place seventh in the shot put with a 13.04m (42-9.5) at the Don Holst Open on Jan. 29…placed fifth in the weight throw at the Bobcat Challenge on Jan. 14.
2020-21
Outdoor Track & Field: Competed at eight outdoor track meets, including the GNAC Outdoor Championships…had the team’s best marks in the discus and hammer throw, the latter of which ranks fifth all-time at MSUB…threw a personal-best 121-9 (37.11) in the discus to place ninth at the GNAC Outdoor Championships…also placed 12th in the hammer throw with a 124-6 (37.95) at GNACs…set a new collegiate best in the shot put with a 39-1.25 (11.92) at the Trudnowski Open on April 24…moved up to fifth all-time at MSUB in the hammer throw in his collegiate outdoor debut and placed second with a 140-4 (42.78) at the MSUB/RMC Open on March 19…also won the discus with a throw of 120-7 (36.75) at the same meet.
Indoor Track & Field: Season canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic…threw the shot put 38-7 (11.76) and the weight throw 39-2.5 (11.95) at the Stinger Open on Feb. 19-20.
Jefferson High School: Earned letters in track and field, wrestling, cheer, and football...Took third place at state meet as a junior in shot put with personal best throw of 48-4...Personal best discus is 144-1.
Coach Woehl on Guisti: "Coen joins us from Jefferson HS following in the footsteps of Janessa Williams and Rahkei Eyer. He's a strong and quick thrower and I'm looking forward to him working with Coach Goosman and his new teammates."
