Outdoor Track and Field: Competed in six regular-season outdoor track meets and the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships…ran the distance events from 1,500 meters up to the 10,000 meters…ran a 42:47.83 in the 10,000 meters at GNACs, which was seventh all-time at MSUB and fourth amongst freshmen in the race…took fifth place in her 10K debut at the Mountain State Games with a 44:16.30…placed third in the 5K with a 21:24.71 at the Trudnowski Open on April 22…ran a lifetime-best 20:43.59 in the 5,000 meters at the Yellow Jacket Spring Open on March 26…took second place in her 1,500-meter debut at the Yellowjackets/Battlin’ Bears Icebreaker Open on March 19.
 
Indoor Track and Field: Competed in all four regular-season indoor track meets…ran the 3,000-meters twice, the mile once and legs on the 4x400 and the distance medley relays…ran a personal best of 12:14.58 in the 3,000 meters at the Mountain State Games on Feb. 11-12…helped MSUB place third in the distance medley relay at the Dave Little Alumni Mile on Jan. 21…in her indoor track debut, ran a 6:22.72 in the mile at the Bobcat Challenge on Jan. 14.
 
Cross Country: Competed in all five races, including the 2021 GNAC Cross Country Championships and the NCAA DII West Regional Race, during her collegiate cross country debut…was MSUB’s fifth runner on two occasions…in her collegiate debut, placed seventh for MSUB and 16th overall with a 23:14.1 5K at the Gage McSpadden Memorial XC Invite on Sept. 17…was MSUB’s fifth runner and set a new lifetime-best in the 5K with a 21:23.3 at the Yellowjackets/Battlin’ Bears XC Open on Oct. 8…placed seventh for the ‘Jackets at the 2021 GNAC Cross Country Championships, covering the 6K course in 26:08.1…set a new 6K personal best with a 25:44.0 and was MSUB’s fifth runner at the NCAA DII West Regional race on Nov. 6.

Manhattan High School: A four-sport varsity athlete in cross country, track and field, basketball and cheer…ran three years of varsity cross country and three years of track and field…helped Manhattan win three district titles in track…was part of a Manhattan girls cross country program that won a MHSA Class B State Cross Country title during her sophomore year, then placed second at the state meet when she was a junior and a senior…in track, placed 10th in the 3,200 meters and 13th in the 1,600 meters at the 2021 MHSA Class A-B State Track and Field Meet as a senior…best finish at the MHSA B State XC Championships was 22nd as a senior in 2020…personal bests include 1:06.68 in the 400 meters, 2:37.90 in the 800 meters, 5:53.11 in the 1,600 meters, 13:21.52 in the 3,200 meters and a 21:33.0 5K in cross country…won academic all-state awards three times in track, three times in cross country, twice in basketball and once in cheer…graduated in the top 10 percent of her graduating class.

Woehl on Wiersema: “She is our second newcomer from Manhattan High School, joining her teammate, Madeline Severson. She’s a strong runner and great student. I’m looking forward to have her compete for the ‘Jackets on the track and in the classroom.”
 
Wiersema on choosing MSUB: “My family and I always loved visiting Billings and how welcoming it is there. I have a brother who attended MSUB and he loved it. I had decided that MSUB is the best fit for me. I am excited to be part of the MSUB community and become a Yellowjacket.”
