Outdoor Track and Field: Competed in four of the 10 regular-season meets…focused on the 1,500 and the 5,000 meters…ran a collegiate-best 21:42.98 and placed fourth in the 5,000 meters at the Trudnowski Open on April 22...placed fourth in the 1,5000 meters at the Bauer Open with a season-best time of 5:45.47 on April 9.
Indoor Track and Field: Competed in all four regular-season meets…ran the 3,000-meters twice, plus the mile, 800 meters and the 4x400 relay once…ran a collegiate-best 11:48.37 in the 3,000-meters at the Mountain State Games on Feb. 11…placed fourth in the 800 meters with a lifetime-best 2:47.75 at the Dave Little Alumni Mile on Jan. 22.
Triathlon: Competed in three of the four races in her debut triathlon season…placed 33rd amongst collegiate women with a 1:31:55 to help MSUB achieve its first team score at the Oktoberfest Triathlon on Sept. 19…competed at the NCAA National Qualifier but was lapped out…finished with a 1:31:55 at the open race at the Women’s Collegiate Triathlon National Championships on Nov. 13.
Cross Country: Competed in four of the five races, including the 2021 GNAC Championships and the NCAA DII West Regional races…was a varsity scorer twice and was MSUB’s sixth runner in both championship races as a true freshman…set a collegiate-best 22:44.1 5K time in her MSUB debut at the Gage McSpadden Memorial XC Invite on Sept. 17…ran her personal-best 6K time at the 2021 GNAC Cross Country Championships with a 25:44.2.
Bozeman High School: Competed in both cross country and track and field for four years… personal-best all-time marks during her prep career include times of 21:32 in the 5K, 6:00.99 in the 1,600 meters, and 2:49.89 in the 800 meters…in cross country, ran at the NXR Northwest Regionals twice.
Woehl on Halpin: “I am excited to have Kylee joining us next fall. She will be in the mix immediately for a scoring position on our cross-country team. She is motivated in and out of the classroom.”
Halpin on choosing MSUB: “I chose MSUB because it was a good fit with the coaches and the team. I am excited to be able to run as well as further my Spanish knowledge and achieve a degree in criminal justice where I can use my Spanish.” |
