Hardin High School: Three sport athlete...earned letters in Cross Country and Track and Field...Also played basketball...named captain of cross country as a sophomore and most inspirational player...Helped Hardin High School to four cross country State Championships...Personal best 5,000 meters is 19:53.12...4.0 student...academic all-state.
Erickson on choosing MSUB: "The triathlon movement is new and exciting. I am motivated to be a part of this growing program and compete again with a previous teammate. I an inspired by an opportunity to challenge myself in different ways. I am looking forward to learning, growing and working hard. Coach Bjerke is leading a sport that is new to our state and l and I want to be a part of it."
Coach Woehl on Erickson: "Journey is a multi-talented athlete and will join us for the indoor track and field season and the second half of outdoor track and field season. She will also compete for our triathlon team."
Coach Bjerke on Erickson: “Journey has been a strong leader for the Hardin Bulldog cross country squad, helping the team to four straight state titles. After assessing her swimming ability, I only grew more excited for her potential in triathlon. She has worked hard on developing her biking abilities over the winter of her senior year and is poised for a strong freshmen triathlon season.”
