Outdoor Track & Field: Competed in five of the regular-season meets, plus the GNAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships…in his 10,000-meter debut, ran the second-fastest time in MSUB history and placed 8th with a 32:11.13 at GNACs…ran a season-best 15:25.81 in the 5,000 meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 14…placed fourth in the 5K with a 15:49.80 at the Yellowjackets/Battlin’ Bears Spring Open on April 2…ran season-best times in the 800 meters (2:02.91) and the 1,500 meters (4:06.70) at the Yellow Jacket Spring Open on March 26…named academic All-GNAC.
 
Indoor Track & Field: Moved up MSUB’s all-time leaderboard in the mile (4:24.88, 8th at MSUB) 3K (8:39.52, 3rd), and the 5K (15:22.29, 4th) in a productive indoor season…competed in three regular-season meets, plus the GNAC Indoor Track and Field Championships…was MSUB’s fastest 3,000 meter runner with an 8:39.52 …led off MSUB’s distance medley relay team that earned all-conference honors and ran the fourth-fastest time in program history (10:18.42) at GNACs…also placed 14th in the 3,000 meters at the conference meet…took third place with a 8:39.52 3K at the Mountain State Games on Feb. 11-12…placed second in the mile with a 4:24.88 at the Don Holst Open on Jan. 29…took second in the 5K with a 15:22.29 at the Dave Little Alumni Mile on Jan. 21…named academic All-GNAC.
 
Cross Country: Competed in four of the six races, including the 2021 GNAC Championships and the NCAA DII West Regional races…was MSUB’s number-three runner in all four races…cut several minutes off of his previous-best collegiate 8K time at the Yellowjackets/Battlin’ Bears XC Open and placed 13th with a 26:00.3…broke the 26-minute barrier at the 2021 GNAC Cross Country Championships with a 25:36.5 8K, which was good for 28th overall…ran a personal-best 10K time of 32:34.3 at the NCAA DII West Regional race to help MSUB place 12th overall and fifth amongst GNAC teams…named academic all-GNAC.
 
2020-21
Outdoor Track & Field: Ran at seven meets, including the GNAC Outdoor Championships…ran the 800, 1,500 and the 5,000 meters, plus a leg on MSUB’s 4x400 meter relay once…placed 17th in the 5,000 meters at the GNAC Championships…set a new personal best in the 800 meters with a 2:00.17 at the Trudnowski Open on April 24…set a new personal best in the 5,000 meters and moved up to 8th on MSUB’s all-time leaderboard with a 15:32.73 at the Bengal Invitational on April 16-17…set a new personal best in the 1,500 meters with a 4:04.23 at the Bauer Open on April 9-10, which ranks ninth all-time at MSUB…broke 16 minutes in the 5,000 meters for the first time in his collegiate career by running a 15:57.40 at the 2021 Yellow Jacket Spring Open on March 27-28…named academic all-GNAC.
 
Indoor Track & Field: Season canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic…named an USTFCCCA Indoor All-Region selection for the distance medley relay and the 3,000 meters…set a new personal best in the 3,000 meters with a 9:02.56 and ran a leg on MSUB’s distance medley relay at the 2021 Stinger Open on Feb. 19-20, 2021.

2019-20
Outdoor Track & Field: Season canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
 
Indoor Track & Field: Competed in six meets...placed sixth in the GNAC Indoor Championships distance medley relay with a team time of 10:34.11...took 22nd in the 3,000 GNAC Championship finals with a personal best time 9:05.31...personal best 5,000 meter time 16:05.59 at the Jacksons/Nike Invitational Feb. 7-8 for 7th place...named Academic all-GNAC.
 
Cross Country: Appeared in all five events as a sophomore...placed 14th at the Hardrocker Cross Country Classic on September 7 with an 8K time of 29:26.34...took 71st place at the GNAC Championships on October 26 with a time of 27:55.3...Placed 167th at the NCAA West Region Championships on November 9 in Monmouth, Oregon.
 
2018-19
Outdoor Track & Field: Four events ran...sixth place 4x400 meter relay at Yellow Jacket Spring Open and a time of 3:45.18...12th place 5000 meters at Montana Open (16:19.96)…personal best 800 and 1500 meter times recorded at the Montana State Open...season high 3rd place finish at Dickinson State Last Chance Meet May 3 with a time of 4:21.51.
 
Indoor Track & Field: Ran the mile during indoor season at four meets, including a 22nd place finish and personal best 4:43.49 at Jacksons Invitational Feb 1-2.

Cross Country: Competed in six races as a freshman including the GNAC Championships and the NCAA West Region Championships...finished 31st in two races...career best 10K time of 24:48.19 at the NCAA West Region Championships in final race of the season.

Billings West High School: Four-year letter winner in cross country and track and field…voted as team MVP and recipient of coaches award as a senior XC runner…earned most improved award as a sophomore in XC…earned best incoming freshman recognition in cross country…career-best in the 5k was 16:34…as a senior was the Golden Bears’ leading scorer in cross country.
 
Straus on choosing MSUB: “I chose MSUB because it was the best overall choice of school to pursue both academically and athletically.”
