2019: Had a stellar debut season on the mound, becoming an integral part of MSUB’s starting rotation…made 13 starts and appeared in 14 games…went 7-2 on the year, posting the second-most wins in MSUB single-season history…carried a 4.84 earned run average, ranking second on the team and eighth in the GNAC…had 59 strikeouts against just 15 walks in 67 innings pitched…posted a 1.37 WHIP…earned GNAC Pitcher of the Week on March 11…threw a season-high 6 2/3 innings on May 10 against Saint Martin’s in the GNAC Championships tournament-clinching victory…had a season-high eight strikeouts on March 8 against NNU…logged five or more full innings in 8 of 13 starts…had three quality starts on the year...helped the ‘Jackets claim their fourth regular-season title in the last five years and tie the school record with 33 wins…helped the team win its first-ever GNAC tournament title and claim its first-ever berth into an NCAA D2 West Region Championship tournament.

Sentinel High School: Earned four letters during his prep career, competing with the Missoula Mavericks in American Legion baseball under head coach Brent Hathaway…all-conference as a sophomore and senior...posted a 22-5 record on the mound over the course of his high-school career...joins MSUB from the same program as former All-American Brody Miller…in 2016 recorded a personal-best 16 strikeouts in one game, while holding an ERA of 0.43 during the month of July…in his two seasons with the Mavericks recorded five shutouts…also led the team in ERA, strikeouts, shutouts, innings pitched, and WHIP.

Coach Waddoups on Barkley: "Mr. Consistent Dylan Barkley.  He is an outstanding leader and communicator who helps improve our entire staff. He has been a main stay in the rotation and we look for him to continue to pile up quality innings."

Barkley on choosing MSUB: "I chose MSUB because of its rising competitiveness in baseball, and the atmosphere the players and coaches create. When I visited MSUB, I got a feel of what it is like to play for this school. MSUB also fit me academically, because I would like to pursue a degree in political science."
