2018: One of the top players on the team as a true freshman…started all 17 matches and led the team with 41 shots…ranked third on the squad with six total points, including one goal and four assists…tied for the team-lead in assists…played 1,265 minutes for an average of 74.4 per game…ranked second on the team with 12 shots on goal…took a pair of corner kicks…had a season-best two assists on Sept. 8 against Black Hills State…had a season-high three points with a goal and an assist at Providence on Sept. 11…took a season-high six shots including two on target on Sept. 6 against Nebraska Kearney…played a season-high 84 minutes against Providence…named to the 2018 Rimrock Classic all-tournament team…MSUB’s nominee for GNAC Freshman of the Year.
Lynnwood High School: Competed in three sports…exceled as a forward for four years on the soccer team…was a two-time team captain and MVP for the Chimeras…in her senior season led her team in goals…earned WIAA Player of the Week recognition after a stretch of three matches in which she tallied seven goals…was a three-time athlete of the month…also competed in track and field as a sprinter for two years…played point guard on the basketball team for one season.
Coach Cavallo on O'Dell: "Cassidy is a strong attacking player who loves scoring goals. She is very aggressive and is not afraid to pull the trigger. She has a strong soccer I.Q. and good technical ability, which will help us out wide or through the middle."
O'Dell on choosing MSUB: "I am so excited to be attending MSUB. The second I arrived and was greeted by the coaches and girls, I already had a great feeling I was going to love it. I am excited to see where this takes me."
