Auburn Mountain View High School: Named Female Athlete of the Year her senior season with the Lions…four-year letterwinner in softball and two-time letterwinner for volleyball…named first team all-league her final three seasons on the diamond after making second team as a freshman…three-time golden glove winner while playing shortstop…Auburn Mountain View made three state tournament appearances with Martinez…named team captain her final two seasons and made academic honor roll all four years.

Coach Rayman on Martinez: “Emily is a great addition to the depth in our infield.  I am very excited about the consistency she will bring to our offense as well.”

Martinez on choosing MSUB: “I chose MSUB because I enjoyed the area, how it wasn't too crowded with people and the campus views. The people were very nice and welcoming, the town I visited by Billings was very cute and small. I already know I wouldn't do well in a very packed city so Billings came to my liking almost instantly. Montana has a lot to offer. I love camping, the outdoors and snow all of which I can experience here. I also have the opportunity to play the sport that I love while receiving the education I need for my desired degree, which is business. It all seems like the perfect recipe for my success and happiness.”
