GNAC Player of the Week (Aug. 26-Sept. 3)	2017 (Freshman)

2017: Started four games as a true freshman…named GNAC Player of the Week for Aug. 28-Sept. 3 after making 13 saves in two games…had a season-high eight saves against Westminster on Aug. 31…made 16 total saves in first year with the ‘Jackets…carried a save percentage of .593 and a goals-against average of 3.27…totaled 303 minutes between the posts…faced 65 shots and allowed 11 goals.

Pittsburg High School: Dual-sport athlete as a prep player at Pittsburg High School earned four letters in soccer and two as a kicker on the Pirates’ football team…as a senior served as team captain and was a first-team all-Bay Valley Athletic Conference selection…also earned all-league honors as a sophomore and a junior.
 
Coach Balog on Hernandez: “We saw how talented Javier is when he came on his visit, and we are pleased to have gotten a well-rounded student-athlete into MSUB. He will learn from Tom Lohmann what goalkeeping at our level is about, and that will help push him hard this coming season.”
