Career Summary: One of the most dominant offensive players in MSUB and GNAC history…scored 27 career goals which ranked tied for second in MSUB history at end of career…finished with 60 career points which ranked tied for fourth in MSUB history and tied for No. 22 in GNAC history at end of career…average of 1.25 points per game ranked No. 18 in GNAC history…total of 27 goals ranked tied for No. 13 in GNAC history…had nine-career multi-goal games including three career hat tricks…played in 47 total matches with 42 starts and a total of 3,286 minutes…had six career assists…had 143 total shots and placed 60 on frame for a shots-on-goal percentage of 42.0.
2018: Second-team all-GNAC striker…ranked second on the team with 11 total points, including five goals and one assist…earned third-career GNAC Player of the Week award on Oct. 22 after scoring third career hat trick in a 4-2 road win over Northwest Nazarene…tied for team lead with 48 total shots, and placed 19 on target…started 14 matches in final collegiate season, and played 968 total minutes…averaged 69.1 minutes per game…played a season-high 101 minutes against Western Washington on Oct. 4…took a season-high seven shots in three different games and had three on target in three different games…scored two game-winning goals…took one corner kick…earned Rimrock Classic MVP and all-tournament honors for second time in career.

2015: First-team all-D2CCA west region selection...GNAC Newcomer of the Year and first-team all-conference pick…led the GNAC and ranked No. 12 in NCAA Division II in total goals with 16…led the NCAA west region in goals...led the GNAC and ranked No. 17 in NCAA Division II in total points with 34…No. 4 in MSUB single-season history in goals…No. 1 in MSUB history in career multi-goal games with six…tied MSUB record with four goals in a game against South Dakota Mines on Sept. 13…earned GNAC Player of the Week after becoming first in MSUB history to score six goals in two games from Sept. 11-13…scored nine goals in a four-game stretch from Sept. 11-24…earned GNAC Player of the Week and HERO Sports D2 Hero of the Week after scoring a hat trick in the second half against Concordia on Oct. 17 to lift MSUB to a come-from-behind 3-2 win…also had two assists on the season…led team with 60 shots and placed 27 on target…led GNAC with five game-winning goals…tied MSUB record for points in a single game with eight against SDSMT on Sept. 13…took one penalty kick and one corner kick…started 17 matches and totaled 1,338 minutes…averaged 78.71 minutes per game…played a season-high 106 minutes against the University of Mary on Sept. 7…ranks eighth in MSUB history in career goals and ninth in career points after one season.
Northeastern State University: In his first collegiate season with the Riverhawks, scored four goals and added six assists for 14 points on a squad that went 16-3-2 and 11-0-1 in conference play en route to the MIAA regular season title…placed 16 of his 36 shots taken on target for a shots on goal percentage of 44.4…two of his goals counted as game-winners…totaled 766 minutes in 16 games while starting eight as a striker.
ITESM Puebla: Participated in soccer for three seasons at Tecnologico de Monterrey in his hometown of Puebla, Mexico…was named athlete of the year and was his team’s top scorer in multiple tournaments under head coach Miguel Mejia Baron.
Coach Balog on Palomino: “We definitely took our time to find and sign the #9 that we felt suited our needs. With Ricardo we found that guy, both as a student-athlete and person. He fits the mold with his 6’2” frame, nose for goals and assists, and technical ability. Ricardo knows what is needed to be successful at the NCAA DII level, coming from a quality program like NSU’s. We are thrilled to be welcoming him to the MSUB men’s soccer family.”
Palomino on choosing MSUB: “My academic major is the main reason that I chose MSUB,” Palomino said. “Also I decided to come here to join the soccer team, which I will become a part of next semester.”
