DUPONT, Wash. — The Montana State University Billings men's golf team finished eighth at the SMU Bishop Invitational on Saturday, carding a two-round total of 593 (297-296) at The Home Course. The Yellowjackets' tournament was shortened to 36 holes after the opening round was canceled because of weather and unplayable course conditions.
 
MSUB put together a strong statistical performance across the two completed rounds, recording 28 birdies to tie for fourth-most in the 15-team field. The 'Jackets led the tournament in par-3 scoring with an average of 3.13 (+5), while also tying for fifth in par-5 scoring at 4.83 (-7). MSUB finished 13th in par-4 scoring with an average of 4.31 (+31).
 
Sophomore Mark Pramounmat paced the Yellowjackets individually, tying for 18th place with a two-round score of 146. Pramounmat opened with a 75 before closing with a 71 in the final round, finishing the tournament at 2-over-par. He was particularly effective on par-3 holes, tying for the tournament lead with an even-par average of 3.00, and contributed nine birdies over his two rounds.
 
Sophomore Cameron Hackmann followed closely behind, tying for 27th with a 147 (74-73). Hackmann improved by one stroke in the final round, carding a 73 to finish 3-over-par for the tournament. Junior Pete Netrnilweerachot tied for 40th at 149 (72-77), while sophomore Aubrey Kelley tied for 48th at 151 (76-75). Senior Bowdie Fox rounded out the MSUB lineup tied for 66th place with a 156 (79-77).
 
As a team, the Yellowjackets opened the tournament's completed competition with a 297 before shaving one stroke off their score in the final round, posting a 296. MSUB's 593 total placed the 'Jackets eighth overall in a competitive field that featured 15 teams.
