Tipasathien Named GNAC Women’s Golfer of the Week

| By:
PORTLAND, Ore. – Orraya Tipasathien has kicked off the season in impressive fashion, earning Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Golfer of the Week honors following a standout performance at the Travis Roy Memorial Invite. This marks the third time in her career that she's received the weekly accolade.

Tipasathien tied her career-best 36-hole score, shooting an even-par 144 — just four strokes behind tournament winner Thale Victoria Estensen of Colorado State Pueblo. Her performance not only matched her personal best but also made her the only women's golfer in MSUB history to record a two-round even par score.

After carding an opening round 72, Tipasathien was tied for fourth in a competitive field of 60 golfers. Playing the back nine first at Powder Horn Country Club in Sheridan, Wyoming, she took the early lead with birdies on holes 13 and 15. Although she faced challenges with bogeys on holes 17, 2, and 3, she recovered with a birdie on hole 8 to finish the second round at even par.

A 2024-25 First Team All-GNAC selection, Tipasathien helped lead the Yellowjackets to a fourth-place team finish out of 12 schools. With this result, she now boasts eight career top five finishes — just five behind MSUB legend Kalli Stanhope.
