Yellowjackets add Momberg to 2025 Class of Signees

BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State University Billings women's basketball head coach Kevin Woodin announced the signing of the program's eighth member of the 2025 recruiting class, bringing in transfer Kyla Momberg for next season.
 
A native of Box Elder, Montana, Momberg joins the Yellowjackets after previously competing at Montana Western.

Momberg makes her way to MSUB after competing in three seasons at Montana Western. Momberg opened her career as a freshman by competing in 34 games during the 2022-23 season, before ascending to a starting spot in her second season with the Bulldogs. Momberg started 27 of her 30 games played, increasing her averages to 4.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. In her final season at Montana Western, Momberg averaged 6.8 points per game, while shooting 83.3% from the field and 40.0% from three-point range.
 
Prior to joining Montana Western, Momberg played her high school basketball at Box Elder High School, where she was both an all-conference and all-state selection in her final two seasons. She was a member of Box Elder's Class C  State Championship team in 2019, along with the squad that finished runner-up at the State Championship in 2021.
 
Coach Woodin on Momberg: "We are excited to have Kyla join our women's basketball program this fall. We recruited her out of high school and her skill set will provide our team added depth on the perimeter. Kyla's fundamentals impressed us and her ability to see the floor and make the right decision will benefit our team. We look forward to working with her."
