BILLINGS, Mont. – The Montana State University Billings softball team saw four of it's student-athletes earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, as announced by the program Tuesday.

Senior Lauren Blaschak was named Academic All-District for the third time in her career, while fellow seniors Kaylin Galvin and Caitlyn James were both recognized with the honor for the second time. Rounding out this year's recipients for MSUB was Bryn Lucht, who earned Academic All-District honors for the first time in her MSUB career. The quartet would stand out on both the field and in the classroom in a season where the Yellowjackets would earn the program's second ever GNAC Championships berth, along with one of the top GPAs in the department.

The Academic All-District awards recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their performances both on the field and in the classroom, recognizing honorees in all levels of college softball. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must earn a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. Fielders must play in at least 90% of a team's games or start at least 66% of games played, while pitchers must either appear in 17 games, or total at least 35 innings pitched.

Her highlight of the season for the Yellowjackets would come in their opening GNAC series of the season against Simon Fraser, where Blaschak would walk off the series' final game with a home run, giving MSUB its first series victory in conference play since 2023.

Galvin would collect a cumulative GPA of 3.79, also graduating with her degree in health & human performance. The Yellowjacket's catcher would prove to be an instrumental part of MSUB's success in 2025, batting .305 on the year with 36 hits, 34 runs, 11 doubles, seven home runs, 24 RBIs, and six steals. Galvin would also prove pivotal in the field for the 'Jackets while setting a number of single game and season highs for her career. Her efforts would be rewarded, with Galvin earning an All-GNAC Honorable Mention selection award.
