BILLINGS, Mont. – The Montana State University Billings athletic department is proud to announce the accomplishments of it's 227 student-athletes during the 2025 spring semester, highlighted by a cumulative department GPA of 3.35.
173 Yellowjacket student-athletes finished the spring semester with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, with 36 of them earning a perfect 4.0 GPA, and 50 student-athletes finishing with all A's and A-'s during the semester. 79 Yellowjacket student-athletes were named to the Dean's List for the semester. Meanwhile, Yellowjacket athletics produced 40 degree candidates during the 2024-25 academic year, with more to come in the fall.
The cumulative semester GPA helped to raise the department's GPA for the 2024-25 academic year to 3.30. MSUB's women's sports programs averaged a 3.44 GPA in the spring semester, while the department's men's programs averaged a 3.30 GPA. The individual programs were led by the 'Jackets women's basketball program, who totaled a 3.75 GPA in the spring. They would be followed by the women's soccer program, who collected a 3.62 GPA for the semester, and the softball program, who combined for a 3.56 GPA. Each of MSUB's women's teams would average a GPA higher than 3.0, with both the women's cross country and golf teams earning GPAs of 3.42 in the spring semester, volleyball earning a 3.19 GPA, and the women's track & field program totaling a 3.08 GPA.
The Yellowjacket baseball program led MSUB's men's teams in GPA for the spring semester with a GPA of 3.35. Behind them, men's golf would post a 3.21 GPA, while men's basketball and men's soccer would both total a 3.18 semester GPA. Men's track & field would round out the programs with an average of 3.0 or higher, totaling a semester GPA of 3.17.
