PORTLAND, Ore. – Following an impressive and historic week for
Dyauni Boyce, the Montana State University Billings women's basketball star received GNAC Player of the Week honors, as announced by the conference Monday.
It was the second time this season that Boyce has received Player of the Week honors, and the fourth of her career, as the senior forward helped guide the Yellowjackets to a pair of wins last week against Central Washington University, and Northwest Nazarene University. It was also a weekend in which Boyce made history, playing in her 131
st career game with MSUB to earn the record for most games played in the program's history.
"Dyauni had a great all-around week," said Yellowjacket head coach
Kevin Woodin. "Her versatility allowed her to score in multiple ways from inside and out while converting from the foul line too. Her rebounding and assists were critical in our two wins. Dyauni is a tremendous senior leader and continues to make a positive impact for our program on and off the court."
Boyce would open her tally on Thursday by finishing as the game's leading scorer in MSUB's win over Central Washington, scoring 22 points while shooting 4-7 from three, and knocking down all six of her free throw attempts. She also totaled five rebounds, two assists, and one block in the game, playing every minute in a 66-61 victory. And in her record-breaking game on Saturday, Boyce would collect her fifth double-double of the season, finishing with 19 points and ten rebounds. She would finish that game shooting 7-12 from the field and a perfect 3-3 from the free throw line, while also adding four assists, a steal, and a block. In total for the weekend, Boyce averaged 20.5 points per game, shooting 13-27 (48.1%) from the field, 6-11 (54.5%) from three, and a perfect 9-9 from the free throw line. She also averaged 7.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.0 block. With her 41 total points on the week, Boyce also moved to 1,484 in her Yellowjacket career, and sits just 16 points away from becoming the ninth player in program history, and 17

Boyce and the #16 ranked Yellowjackets (23-4, 12-2 GNAC), are in the midst of a seven-game win streak, and sit just one game behind first place in the GNAC.
