PORTLAND, Ore. – Following the announcement of student-athletes who received Academic All-GNAC honors by the conference Wednesday, three Montana State University Billings cross-country runners were listed amongst those who were honored.
To qualify to receive Academic All-GNAC honors, student-athletes must have a minimum GPA of 3.20, while having competed for the program in the previous institution. For MSUB, two of their selections came from the women's program, while one came from the men's program.
Both of the Yellowjacket women who received the honor were honored for the second time in their careers.
Chloe Shennum, a junior from Havre, Montana earned a 3.31 GPA, while senior
Cecily Eagleton from Teton, Idaho earned a 3.26 GPA. Both Shennum and Eagleton are majoring in health and human performance. Meanwhile for the men's team,
Lennon Davis earned academic all-conference honors for the first time in his MSUB career, with the sophomore from Cincinnati, Ohio posting a 3.67 GPA while working towards a degree in English teaching.
Both the MSUB men's and women's cross country teams will return to competition in the Yellowjacket/Battlin' Bears Open on Friday, October 10. The women's 6k race will begin at 12 PM, with the men's race following immediately at 12:45 PM. Live results for the races will be available
