BILLINGS, Mont.- The Montana State University Billings volleyball team (1-15, 0-11 GNAC) dropped a three-set match (25-12, 25-15, 25-9) to No. 19 Western Washington University (15-3, 9-2 GNAC) on Friday evening inside Alterowitz Gymnasium.
The nationally ranked Vikings showcased why they remain among the top programs in Division II, delivering a highly efficient offensive performance. WWU totaled 39 kills and hit over .325 as a team, including an impressive .577 hitting percentage in the final set. The Vikings rounded out the effort with seven service aces, three blocks, 33 assists, and 40 digs to secure the sweep.
For the Yellowjackets,
Allie Dorman led the offense with six kills, while
Kenzie Allen added four kills, seven assists, eight digs, and one block.
Stella Scott contributed three kills, and on the defensive end,
Avarie Gutierrez collected seven digs, followed by
Reese Sherwood and
Izzy Ping with five each.
