PORTLAND, Ore. – Orraya Tipasathien continues to shine on the course, earning her fourth career Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week honor—and her second of the 2025-26 season.
Tipasathien claimed the award after securing her second tournament victory of the year and the seventh of her collegiate career, dominating the field at the Briarwood Shootout. She finished six strokes ahead of her closest competitor—teammate Ella Tannenberger, who took home the silver medal.
The Bangkok, Thailand native opened the tournament with a 75, then surged to the top of the leaderboard with an even-par 72 in the final round. Her 36-hole total of 147 was just three strokes shy of her personal best.
Through eight rounds this season, Tipasathien leads the entire conference with a scoring average of 73.6 and has finished in the top five in all four tournaments the Yellowjackets have competed in so far.
The 2024-25 First Team All-GNAC selection, Tipasathien also helped power MSUB to its first team win of the season. The Yellowjackets ran away with the title, posting a combined score of 626—36 strokes clear of the runner-up.
Up Next: Tipasathien and the Yellowjackets will look to close out their fall season strong as they take on a competitive field at the Midwestern State Invitational in Wichita Falls, Texas, today and tomorrow.
