PORTLAND, Ore. – The Montana State University Billings women's soccer team saw ten of the program's student-athletes awarded with Academic All-GNAC honors, following the announcement by the conference Wednesday afternoon.
Seven first-time award winners joined three first-time recipients in making up the Yellowjacket's list of academic all-conference selections. To qualify for honors, student-athletes must be competing in their second season with their program, while maintaining a GPA of 3.2 or higher.

The Yellowjacket's repeat winners were led by a pair of third year selections in seniors
Maddie Smith and
Liberty Palmer. Smith, a forward from Kent, WA, is working on a master's degree in reading, and holds a 3.88 GPA. Meanwhile Palmer, a team captain who has scored one goal and recorded one assist to tie for MSUB's lead in points this season, has held a 3.86 GPA while earning her degree in accounting. MSUB's other repeat winner is midfielder
Erika Wilson, another team captain and fellow senior. The Fair Oaks Ranch, TX native has earned a 3.31 GPA while majoring in management, while also playing in and starting in each of MSUB's ten matches so far this season.
From MSUB's list of first-time winners, sophomores
Jamie Maas and
Abby Thompson lead all MSUB academic all-conference selections with a 3.92 and 3.91 GPA respectively. Maas, a native of Washougal, WA majoring in environmental studies, has totaled nine starts across ten games this season, attempting ten shots and three on goal. Meanwhile Thompson, a Billings local majoring in health & human performance, has started seven of her ten games played, most recently scoring her first career in the 'Jackets previous game against Northwest Nazarene.
The Yellowjackets saw three other health & human performance majors find their way onto the Academic All-GNAC list, with senior
Nyah Attaway, and sophomores Mille Bamer and
Ava Curtright. Attaway, who is from Paradise, CA, has a GPA of 3.67, while the forward has also totaled one assist on the season across her ten games played and two starts. Meanwhile Bamer, who is from Portland, OR, totaled a GPA of 3.87 while playing in eight games and making one start, while Curtright, who hails from Blaine, WA, earned a GPA of 3.76, with the sophomore team captain starting four games before her season was paused due to injury.
The Yellowjacket's final two academic all-conference recipients were
Grace Bittner, a pre-nursing major who has totaled a 3.72 GPA, and
Briel Powers, who has achieved a 3.37 GPA. Bittner, who came to MSUB from Sherwood, OR, has played in five matches for the 'Jackets in 2025 while Powers, a Missoula, MT native, has played in each of MSUB's ten games, making a total of three starts.
The MSUB women's soccer team will continue it's 2025 campaign on Thursday, October 16, facing off against Saint Martin's University on the road in Lacey, WA. Kick off is set for 1:30 PM at Saints Field, with live video available on the
