Following her selection to the All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference First Team, the awards continue to roll in for Montana State University Billings softball's
Teagan Seeton, who was awarded with 2024 NFCA All-Region First Team honors, as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Tuesday.
Seeton became the first Yellowjacket to earn NFCA All-Region honors since
Brittanee Fisher in 2021, and the first to earn a first team selection since Heather Tracy and Cameron Cassinelli in 2018. The sophomore centerfield was selected after an impressive campaign, where she was previously recognized by the NFCA with a NCAA DII Player of the Week award earlier in the season, shortly before being named to the NFCA watchlist for West Region Player of the Year.
Seeton concluded the 2024 campaign for MSUB playing in 48 games, making 47 starts. The Yellowjacket's centerfielder batted .353 on the year, a team high. Seeton also led the team with 53 hits, 39 runs, and 37 RBIs, while finishing with an impressive .720 slugging percentage and a 1.144 OPS. Her 16 home runs were not only the most hit in the GNAC on the year, but also tied for the fourth most of any GNAC hitter in a season, while setting a new program record for most home runs in a season by a Yellowjacket.
