PORTLAND, Ore. – After helping lead the Montana State University Billings Yellowjacket baseball team to 2-2 series split over the weekend,
Beau Burnett was named Great Northwest Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.
Burnett was sensational in his game three outing as he came out of the pen and threw 5.1 innings, helping the Yellowjackets triumph in a 7-6 comeback victory over the Saint Martin's Saints. In his outing, Burnett handed out five strikeouts while allowing just one earned run, zero walks, and earned his third win of the season.
HEAR FROM WADDOUPS: "Beau was tough as nails out of the 'pen. He really commanded the baseball, came in and essentially won a game for us. He was dominant and shut down an offense that had been hot against us up to that point in the weekend. What he was able to do helped us flip the momentum."
