PORTLAND, Ore. – After helping lead the Montana State University Billings Yellowjacket baseball team to 2-2 series split over the weekend, left hander
Cy Miller was named Great Northwest Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.
Down 2-1 in their Central Washington home series, the Yellowjackets needed to win the final game of the series to come out with a split. Cy lived up to his name in the nightcap, throwing a one earned run complete game and earning his first win of the season. Miller kept the Wildcats at bay, dishing out five strikeouts while allowing just seven hits and two walks to an efficient offense that averages 6.1 runs per game. Miller earned the Yellowjackets fourth player of the week honor on the season and the first of his career.
