PORTLAND, Ore. – After helping lead the Montana State University Billings Yellowjacket baseball team to 2-2 series split over the weekend, third baseman
Kaden Kirshenbaum was selected as the Great Northwest Athletic Conference offensive Player of the Week.
This was Kirshenbaum's second career GNAC Player of the Week honor with his first one coming from March 27
th of 2023. The Yellowjackets showed impressive offensive numbers during their weekend series vs MSU Denver, breaking the MSUB record for hits in a single game (28), home runs in a single game (8), and tied the record for doubles in a single game (8).
Kirshenbaum was a big reason the 'Jackets came away with a pair of wins as he went 10-16 from the plate over the four-game series. The junior slugger was not only the top performer for the Yellowjackets but also the entire conference. Kirshenbaum led the league in home runs (4), hits (10), runs scored (9), batting average (.625), slugging percentage (.650), and OPS (1.563). He also tallied seven RBIs, two doubles, and had two multi-homer games while striking out just twice in 20 plate appearances.
