PORTLAND, Ore.- The Montana State University Billings Yellowjacket women's cross-country team saw three of its student athletes earn Academic All-GNAC recognition, announced early this afternoon.
HEAR FROM COACH WOEHL: "All three of these athletes are outstanding students and have put in a tremendous amount of work to excel both in the classroom and in competition."
To receive Academic All-GNAC honor, players must have a minimum grade point average of 3.20, be in their second season of competition at their current institution and must have competed on course during the 2023 season.
For her second season in a row, junior runner
Alahna Lien led the way with an impressive 3.78 grade point average. The Post Falls, ID native plans to graduate with a degree in Health & Human Performance.
Next for the Yellowjackets was sophomore runner
Chloe Shennum with a 3.45 grade point average. Shennum comes from Havre, MT and also plans to graduate with a degree in Health & Human Performance.
Also winning the award for the first time in their career is junior transfer from Montana Western,
Cecily Eagleton. Eagleton resides from Teton, ID and posted a grade point average of 3.27 with plans to graduate with a degree in Nursing.
