WICHITA FALLS, Tex. – The Montana State University Billings women's golf team finished out their fall campaign at the Midwestern State Invitational. The Yellowjackets tied their lowest team score of the season (306) in the final round to finish out with a three-round score of 956 (325-325-306), coming in 12
th place overall.
HEAR FROM BUIE: "I was happy to see us bounce back with one of the best rounds of the year. Both days were an adjustment for us, with different grass and winds than we are used to. Strong events like this only help us as a program, we gained a lot of valuable experience this week come spring where we will compete with nationally ranked teams."

Orraya Tipasathien led the way for the 'Jackets, coming into the clubhouse with a three-round score of 230 (76-77-77) and tying for 15
th place amongst the field of 77 competitors. Right behind Tipasathien was true freshman
Ella Tannenberger who recorded the lowest round in MSUB history with a two under par (70) in the final round. Tannenberger finished out with a total gross score of 236 (82-84-70) and tying for 37
th place overall.
HEAR FROM BUIE: "Ella was lights out today, shooting a school tying record (70). Orraya was steady all week, finishing 15
th in the one of the best fields that we will play. Pygmy was consistent, shooting a 79-80-79 which was good to see. Gia and Adessa bounced back to finish better than they did in the second round. We have had a great fall and can finally relax for a much-needed break. We look to keep the strong play going when the spring season gets started."
Coming in third for the Yellowjackets was freshman
Pygmy Kompoj who tied for 45
th place and posted a three-round score of 239 (79-80-80). Rounding it out for MSUB was
Gia Vargas who tied for 61
st place at 251 (88-84-79) and
Adessa Lundberg who came in 75
th place at 270 (88-93-89).
THE BUZZ: Ella Tannenberger was named Intermountain Health Player of the Day after recording the lowest score in MSUB history (-2) in the final round of the Midwestern State Invitational.
UP NEXT: Following this tournament, the Montana State University Billings golf teams have concluded their fall slate and will pick back up in the spring following the holiday season.
