PORTLAND, Ore. – Following her fourth tournament victory of the year, Orraya Tipasathien earned her second Great Northwest Athletic Conference Women's Golf Player of the Week award of the season.
 
HEAR FROM COACH BUIE: "Jan earned another player of the week award for her fourth win of the year. She's already set the school record for wins in a season. Her second round 71 (-1) at Briarwood was really impressive and ranks as one of the lowest rounds in school history."

Tipasathien broke the MSUB women's golf record for wins in a season (4) after leading the Yellowjackets to their third win of the season which is also the most team wins in MSUB women's golf history. The sophomore topped the 29-player field at the Briarwood Shootout after shooting a career best 71 (-1) in the final round, posting a two-round score of 150 (79-71). Tipasathien's 71 was one stroke shy of the MSUB single-round record of 70, set by Kalli Stanhope on Sept. 26, 2011. Tipasathien lowered her scoring average to 76.8 strokes per round, ranking her sixth in the GNAC.
