BILLINGS, Mont. – The Montana State University Yellowjacket volleyball team (2-9) took on the Rocky Mountain College Battlin' Bears (11-6) in the crosstown rivalry. This was the first official Rimrock Rivalry volleyball match with the Battlin' Bears taking the win (25-23, 25-19, 25-22).

Christine Funk hit a career milestone after her third dig in the first set. Funk hit the 1,000 career digs mark and sits just 12 digs away from being top-10 in the MSUB history books.
The Battlin' Bears struck first and got ahead early, but the 'Jackets fought their way back thanks to an 11-1 run. The set didn't stop there as Rocky made it to match point first and taking the set 25-23.
The Battlin' Bears came out hot in the second set leading by 8 points multiple times in the set. MSUB made a late run behind the serve of
Avarey Stuff but would fall 25-19.
The 'Jackets switched up their offense in the third set, letting
Hailey Carroll take the reins with setting. MSUB was able to get ahead early and lead most of the set but ultimately fell 25-22 in favor of Rocky as they closed the match on a 5-0 run.
THE BUZZ: Aubrey Allison is your Intermountain Health Player of the Game. Allison had 9 kills on the night and also tallied 2 aces, and 12 digs.
