BILLINGS, Mont. – The Montana State University Billings Department of Athletics has announced an open call for nominations for the Yellowjacket Athletics Hall of Fame ahead of the selection of its 2024 class.
 
The Yellowjacket Athletics Hall of Fame and Distinction recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of individuals and teams who have made significant contributions to MSUB or EMC Athletics. Any person may nominate an individual or team for induction. Once an individual or team is nominated, they remain in the pool indefinitely until they are deemed eligible for induction. Nominees can be selected for their contributions as a student-athlete, coach, athletic director, or for honor and distinction and years of service and dedication.
 
The criteria for induction into the Yellowjacket Athletics Hall of Fame and Distinction are listed below:
 

• The individual or team must have made a "significant contribution" to Yellowjacket Athletics as a student-athlete, coach, administrator, or other person closely connected to the program OR have made a significant contribution to business, education, coaching, athletic administration, or some other aspect of society since having been a Yellowjacket student-athlete, coach, administrator, or other person closely connected to the program.
• Individuals should have an honorable and respectable reputation/public image since leaving Yellowjacket Athletics.
• Nominees are not eligible for induction until they have been out of the Yellowjacket Athletics program for at least five years.
• Stronger consideration will be given to those former student-athletes that completed their degree and graduated from MSUB/EMC.
