COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho – The Montana State University Billings women's golf team finished their season at the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championships hosted at the Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course Monday and Tuesday.
The Yellowjackets were led by
Hannah Adams, who finished tenth overall with a score of 159 (77-82) in her first GNAC Championships. Adams finished with two birdies, one in each round, and finished with the best round of any Yellowjacket golfer in the tournament with her first round, where she finished 12 holes at par or better.
Meilyn Armstrong was the next best golfer at the GNAC Championships for the 'Jackets, finishing in a tie for 18
th with a two-round score of 164 (82-82). It was an eleven-stroke improvement from Armstrong's performance at last season's tournament. She finished with a pair of birdies across the 36 holes.
Haylee Adams finished in 23
rd for the Yellowjackets, shooting a score of 181 (90-91) with one birdie.
Adessa Lundberg finished in 24
th with a score of 182 (93-89), and
Brennan Larson finished in 25
th with a score of 194 (95-99).
The Yellowjackets finished with a score of 686 (342-344), ending the GNAC Championships in fifth place as a team. Simon Fraser took home the team title with a score of 609 (306-303), eleven strokes better than the next best team. Ashley Bruland of Saint Martin's was the top individual finisher, shooting a score of 145 (72-73).
