BILLINGS, Mont.- The Montana State University Billings Yellowjacket volleyball team (2-15) faced off against the Simon Fraser University Red Leaf's (9-5). MSUB partnered with Intermountain Health with all proceeds from the game going back to the Eva Project to support breast cancer awareness.

Aubrey Allison,
Bailey Nichols, and
Julia Gordon combined for 16 kills in the set. The 'Jackets also had 4 aces behind
Kennedy Juranek who led the way with two. Even with the offensive push the 'Jackets were not able to pull out the win in extra points, dropping the set 30-28 to the Red Leaf's in an exhilarating finish to set 1.
Â
The Red Leaf's came out hot in the second set taking it 25-14 due to 9 attacking errors and 2 service errors by the 'Jackets.
Â
MSUB quickly bounced back as they got out to an early 16-10 lead in the third set but after a 10-0 run, the Red Leaf's were able to pull ahead. The 'Jackets weren't done yet as they battled back to take the lead 24-23. The set would be another back-and-forth battle, but ultimately Simon Fraser would take the set 29-27 and winning the match 3-0 (30-28, 25-14, 29-27).
