BILLINGS, Mont. – Rounding out its 2022 recruiting class, the Montana State University Billings volleyball team signed incoming freshman middle blocker McKay Kasper on Monday.
"We are so excited for McKay to join the program," MSUB head coach
Casey Williams said. "As soon as she stepped on campus, she made instant connections with our team. She brings a big physical presence to our middle blocker position, and I am excited that she decided to come to MSUB."
Kasper, a Lakewood, Colo. native and a standout at Green Mountain High School, will be the sixth newcomer to the Yellowjacket volleyball team next season. She will join current junior
Hannah Hayden (Lakewood), and incoming freshman Caty Havekost (Arvada) as the Colorado natives on the roster.

"I chose MSUB because of the positive atmosphere I experienced while I was there," Kasper said. "The volleyball team as well as the coaches made me feel very welcomed, and they were super energetic. I can't wait to attend MSUB!"
Kasper is a four-year varsity volleyball player for Green Mountain High School. A two-time honorable mention all-conference selection as a sophomore and as a junior, Kasper ended her high school career as a first-team 4A All-Jeffco selection this past fall. She was named her team's most valuable player as a junior and she was a team captain as a senior. During her senior season, she led Green Mountain High School with 3.5 digs-per-set and helped the Rams finish with a 17-8 record – including a 7-0 record in conference play.
In the classroom, Kasper is a three-time academic all-conference awardwinner. Outside of competing for Green Mountain High School, Kasper has played club volleyball for Elevation Volleyball Club.
MSUB went 12-16 – including a 7-11 mark in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play – and finished seventh in the conference in 2021. The Yellowjackets are expected to bring back four of their six starters next season.
