BILLINGS, Mont. – It was all clicking on Saturday night for the Yellowjacket volleyball team (6-9, 2-4 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) in a 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 26-24) win over Saint Martin's (6-8, 1-5 GNAC) in Alterowitz Gym.
Maddi Vigil recorded her second straight double-double and seventh of the season by leading the 'Jackets with 13 kills and 15 digs.
"It feels good to get the win, we had a tight third set but the girls pushed through and I am proud of them," head coach
Casey Williams said.
MSUB relied on a great offensive performance though the three-set match as
Alexa Smythe delivered her second consecutive 35+ assist performance setting up all of the 'Jacket attackers on her way to 37 assists.

"Coming into the season I had a rough start but we've started to connect and I'm feeling more like myself," Smythe said after the win.
Williams added "Alexa has been doing well, she is running a faster offense for us right now and has things working."
The first set was defined by the 'Jackets .433 hitting percentage as they launched a well balanced attack that saw
Miranda McConnell (6), Vigil (5),
Bayli Monck (4) and
Katie Campbell (2) record multiple kills. McConnell was unstoppable in the frame as she was a perfect 6-for-6 on the attack and added a solo block.
MSUB's slowed slightly in the second set but the team still hit .241 while holding the Saints a .135 hitting percentage. Campbell delivered two emphatic kills in the set on three attacks while Vigil and Monck continued to be factors on the outside with four and three kills respectively.
