BILLINGS, Mont. – A perfect start to the season continued on Tuesday as the Montana State University Billings men's basketball team (3-0) defeated Yellowstone Christian College Centurions 112-33 during their home opener. The 'Jackets will be back on their home court on Thursday at 7 p.m. when they host the University of Mary Marauders (0-1).
Kobe Terashima was all over the court as the freshman guard finished the game one rebound short of a triple-double, his final stat line was 10 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds. Terashima also paced the 'Jackets with

three steals on the night.
All 11 Yellowjackets scored in the contest led by 20 from sophomore guard
Tyler Green.
Zack Rollins recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds against the Centurions. MSUB posted a decisive plus-36 rebound differential in the game as they used their size and athleticism to dominate the glass.
"We wanted to stick to what our philosophy is," head coach
Jamie Stevens said after the game. "We want to compete and we want our guys to play hard. Sometimes these games can be tough for both teams. In the second half it was a good test of our mental toughness and the guys did a good job of playing all the way through and getting us ready for Thursday night."
MSUB shot 52.8 percent from the field and made 14 of 40 three-point attempts. Green did the majority of his damage from deep going 6-for-11 from range. Sixty-six of the Yellowjacket's points came in the paint and 37 points came following a Centurion turnover. The 'Jacket defense forced 27 turnovers and held the Centurions to a 19.4 shooting percentage for the game.
Hafeez Abdul scored 11 points in the game including a break-away dunk in the middle of the second half.
Daniel Shedden scored 15 and added eight rebounds, the junior forward is second on the team with 22 rebounds this season. Freshmen
Zharon Richmond and
David Simental scored 10 and nine respectively with Richmond grabbing five rebounds.
Seniors
Kendall Denham and
Jordan Perry combined for 15 points as they were used sparingly in the game.
Kamal Tall posted a well-rounded performance in the post with six points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Sven Jeuschede scored five with five rebounds in the win.
It is the first time the 'Jackets have score 100 points since December 31, 2016 when MSUB defeated Western Washington 100-93 in Bellingham, Wash. The last time the 'Jackets started a season 3-0 was back in the 2005-2006 season when MSUB last won 20 games and finished the year 20-8.
Thursday's opponent, Mary comes to Billings following a 10 point loss in their season opener to the University of Jamestown in Bismarck, N.D. MSUB has won the last two meeting against the Marauder with the most recent meeting being a 98-92 overtime victory in Bismarck.
