St. George, Utah – A lightning storm couldn't spark the Yellowjackets and Red Storm offense as they played to a 0-0 draw. The match was called due to lightning with 7:32 left in the first overtime.
"It was a good match; I think we did a good job shutting down their forwards," stated head coach
Wojtek Krakowiak. "We also created good scoring opportunities throughout the game. We look forward to our match against the University of Mary."
The game officials called the contest due to the NCAA rule of not being able to complete the game within a three hour time period.
MSU Billings and Dixie State were even in shots taken (12-12), but the Red Storm owned the 7-4 shot on goal advantage.
Kaylee Kimmet made her first collegiate start at goalkeeper for the Jackets and recorded a match high seven saves. Stacie Gubler started between the pipes for Dixie State and registered four saves in the contest.

The Yellowjackets, 0-0-1, will have an eight day rest period before their home opener against the University of Mary on Monday, Sept. 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Yellowjacket Field.
