SAN DIEGO – Point Loma University held Montana State University Billings' volleyball to a .047 hitting percentage in a sweep in the sixth and final match of day one of the Seaside Invitational Friday.

The .047 hitting percentage is the second lowest under head coach Lisa Axel and the lowest since the Yellowjackets' .010 percentage at Seattle Pacific on Oct. 20, 2012. PLNU (2-0) finished with a .333 hitting percentage.

Delany McCraney led the Sea Lions with a double-double of 11 kills and 10 digs. Alyssa Dwyer had 10 kills and Christin Fisher had 12 digs. Savannah Wedemeyer finished with a match-high 35 assists. Point Loma had a 42-25 kill advantage, 53-31 lead in digs, and a 39-23 edge in assists. The Lions also had seven total blocks to MSUB's five.

The match featured seven ties and three lead changes, but six of those ties and all three lead changes came in the opening set. PLNU won the first set 25-16, the second set 25-13, and third 25-21.

Chelsey Walter led MSU Billings with nine kills. Monica Grimsrud had a team-high eight digs, and Kyndal Williams tallied 21 assists.

The Yellowjackets return to the Golden Gymnasium to face Azusa Pacific at 1 p.m. Pacific Time Saturday. MSUB closes the tournament against Cal State-Dominguez Hills at 5 p.m. Live stats and video from the tournament are available on MSUBSports.com.
