ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Montana State University Billings Women's Basketball team was out-played by the University of Indianapolis 45-87 on Saturday.
 
It was the second game of the Disney Classic Tip-Off for both teams, and a difficult test for Montana State Billings (0-2) as they were limited to just 27 percent shooting from the floor which included only 5 total field goals in the second half.
 
"Today was one of those nights where we just did not play well and our opponent did," Head Coach Kevin Woodin said.  "I think The University of Indianapolis (1-1) is a very good team and played a lot of zone against us, we were unable to make shots and we had trouble both offensively and defensively."
 
Normally a well-balanced team, the Yellowjackets were out-rebounded 40-26 and were just 14-51 on the night; 16 points from the floor and 18 from beyond the arc.
 
"They took it to us early and really controlled the game from about the half-way point of the first half," Coach Woodin said. "I give them lots of credit; they really had a very good team that played hard, they continued to use that zone defense and shut us out of our game."
 
The University of Indianapolis had four players in double-digits.  Katy McIntosh led the charge, she was 7-10 on the night for 19 points.  Princess German was 8-12 for 17, Kelly Walter was 6-10 including two threes, for 14 points, and coming off the bench Eliza Wortman was 3-4 for 10 points.
 
Kayleen Goggins was the team-leading scorer for the Yellowjackets; she had 13 points including seven free-throws.  Quinn Peoples was 3-9, all three of those baskets were from beyond the arc for a total of nine points.
 
Bobbi Knudsen was just 1-8 on the night; a single three-pointer being her lone basket of the contest.
 
 
"This will be a good early season test for us on how we respond to adversity after getting beat like that," Coach Woodin stated. "I am really looking forward to tomorrow's game to see how we play."
 
The Yellowjackets will have to make some quick adjustments; they will take on Cal-State East Bay tomorrow at 1:30 Pacific Time.

"We are playing a very good Cal-State East Bay team and we are going to have to make a 180 degree turn in a very short amount of time in order to come out on top," Coach Woodin said.  "I am looking forward to the challenge of tomorrow's game."
