BILLINGS, Mont. – The Montana State University Billings Volleyball team lost their match against conference opponent the University of Alaska Anchorage on Thursday Nov. 21, 18-25, 23-25, and 18-25.
 
Alaska Anchorage (20-9, 14-3 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) brought some big firepower to MSU Billings on Thursday night.  The Seawolves were led by Katelynn Zanders who is sitting at No. 2 in the GNAC in kills (3.89 average per set.)  She had a double-double in the match against MSUB with 19 kills and 10 digs.  UAA hit .287 for the match to MSUB's .220.  Alaska Anchorage had 41 kills and 41 digs.
 
Brooke Pottle had seven kills and 10 digs while Jodie Huddleston contributed six terminations.  Quinn Barker had a team high 10 digs for the Seawolves.  Siobhan Johansen had 37 assists for UAA.
                        
The Yellowjackets were led by Monica Grimsrud.  She had an attack percentage of .296 with 13 kills and 1.5 blocks.  Chelsey Walter had nine kills and Ashlynn Ward had six. 
 
Montana State Billings (6-20, 3-14 GNAC) had two players in double-digits in digs.  Stormy Siemion had a team-high 14 while Sydney Oberstein came up with 11.  Kyndal Williams had 33 assists in the match.
 
Next up for Montana State Billings will be their last home event; a conference match against the University of Alaska Fairbanks on Saturday Nov. 23.  Saturday's match is Senior Night for the Yellowjackets.  Seniors Taylor Adams and Julianna Evola will be honored for their contributions to MSU Billings before the start of the match.  The match is scheduled to begin at 7 PM.  Live video and live stats can be found at MSUBSports.com.
