NAMPA, Idaho – The Montana State University Billings' volleyball team lost in four sets to Northwest Nazarene University on Thursday 25-14, 25-19, 29-27, and 25-16.

Montana State Billings is now 3-11 overall and 1-5 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. Northwest Nazarene moves to 9-4 and 5-2 in the GNAC.

The Yellowjackets took the Crusaders to four sets in the conference road match. The first two sets were largely held by NNU, but the third set featured 14 ties and eight lead changes as Montana State Billings played to a close set. The Crusaders came back down 16-21 to eventually take the set to a 27-27 tie, but a kill by
Stormy Siemion and a block from
Monica Grimsrud held off NNU. The fourth set was decided when at 16-20 Northwest Nazarene went on a five point run ending the match.

Led by Elayna Rice with 18 kills, Northwest Nazarene had three players in double digits with Taylor VanValey at 15, and Andrea Terpstra contributing 10. NNU was led in the assists category with Kaitlyn Tuholski dishing out 48 on the night.

The Yellowjackets were led by
Monica Grimsrud with 15 kills and
Chelsey Walter with 13.Â
Krista Norris put down nine.

At the net, Northwest Nazarene had 10 blocks on the night with Jenna Caywood on seven block assists.
Monica Grimsrud had three blocks assists for Montana State Billings.

Kyndal Williams had 41 assists for MSUB in the match. This places her over 1300 career total and moves her to 7
th place career all-time.
