BILLINGS, Mont. – The Montana State University Billings' volleyball team grabbed a four-set win over Saint Martin's University Saturday behind 15 kills from Monica Grimsrud and Erin Compton's 26 digs.

The Yellowjackets (10-12, 7-7 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) finished with a .218 hitting percentage, and held SMU to .089. MSUB had a 44-40 kill advantage, and finished with 60 digs to the Saints' 49. Saint Martin's committed 28 errors, compared to MSU Billings' 17.

Taylor Adams added 10 kills for the Yellowjackets. The junior finished with a .304 hitting percentage and was in on three blocks. Jody Lutz had eight kills with a .333 hitting percentage. Kyndal Williams dished out 34 of MSUB's 37 assists.

The match featured only five ties and one lead change. MSUB took the match 25-14, 25-14, 16-25, and 25-17.

Katy Ferguson and Carrie Starbuck finished with 14 and 11 kills for the Saints (6-14, 3-11 GNAC). Starbuck completed a double-double with 15 digs. Ferguson was in on six blocks, three solo and three assisted. Cymbree Decosta had a team-high 22 assists.
