Billings, Mont. – After bouncing back with a win on Thursday, the Montana State Billings women's soccer team looked to match last season's win total as they entered their Saturday contest against Western Oregon University. In a tough double overtime bout, the Yellowjackets were edged by the Wolves 1-0.
Overall, the game's tempo was very balanced. It wasn't until the later minutes of the second half where both teams started to pick up the tempo both offensively and defensively. MSUB and Western Oregon played an even match for most of the contest.
Within the first 17 minutes of play both teams took five shots each.
Jaucelyn Richter took three of the Jackets' attempts with all of her shots landing on target during this period. The Wolves Hillary Lutz played well on the day as she successfully defended these attempts en route to a game high eight saves.

Katlyn Lokay,
Kristen Kastelic and Richter all had shot on goal attempts that were effectively saved by Lutz. MSUB took six total shots compared to Western Oregon's three during this half.
While the flow and pace of the game picked up, neither team was able to score in regulation and ended the second half even at 0-0.
