Morgan Walters joined the athletic department as assistant volleyball coach in June, 2019 and is in her fourth season in 2022-23.
Although the 2020 volleyball season was canceled due to the corornavirus pandemic, the Yellowjackets finished 5-1 – including a perfect record in five-set matches – in a slew of exhibition games in spring 2021.
In her first season with the Yellowjackets, the team finished 8-22 overall in 2018-19.
Walters served as a graduate assistant coach at Walsh University, a private NCAA Division II college in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference for one season. In her time at Walsh, the Cavaliers went 19-14 and 14-5 in the GMAC. She also coached club volleyball.
Prior to her coaching career in North Canton, Ohio, Walters spent one year at Morehead State University (Kentucky) as operations manager. She graduated from Gannon University in May 2016 with a degree in communications.
Walters played four years of volleyball as a setter and defensive specialist at for the Golden Knights and amassed 857 career digs, 31 blocks, 43 kills, and 1,168 assists. She brings high level experience having played in the NCAA Division II regional Sweet 16.
Walters is originally from Girard, Ohio.
